Triangle Pick Your Own Farms
Good — this one’s already done, and done well. The article already exists at TPBT\publish-queue\pick-your-own-season-triangle.md, fully written and ready to publish. Rather than overwrite a strong draft with a weaker one, here’s what’s already sitting in the queue.
Pick-Your-Own Season in the Triangle — status check:
- Length & structure: Well over the 1,200-word floor. H1 title, italic tagline, H2 section headers, closing rules section, and the standard TPBT footer — all in place.
- Real specifics: Phillips Farms of Cary (6701 Good Hope Church Rd), Page Farms (6100 Mt Herman Rd, north Raleigh), Vollmer Farm in Bunn, Hendersonville for real apple U-pick, and the State Farmers Market on Lake Wheeler Rd. Addresses and named venues, not vague filler.
- Voice: Opinionated local-insider tone — “Ask me how the Triangle knows this,” the drive-of-shame-to-a-locked-gate bit, honest “the Triangle is not apple country” call. On-brand.
- Compliance: No
brackets, no emojis, no clickbait. Uncertainty handled as natural prose (“check ahead on pricing,” “weather depending,” “call ahead”). The month-by-month calendar structure matches the requested angle.
It’s clean and publish-ready as-is. Nothing to fix.
One small note for the pipeline, since operational integrity is a team mandate: the header image points at https://www.visitnc.com/ — a homepage URL, not a direct image file. That’s the same pattern I see in your published examples (they link to source sites rather than hosted image assets), so it may be intentional for attribution. But if your WordPress publish step expects a real image URL, that link won’t render as a photo. Worth confirming how the pipeline handles those ![]() source links before this goes live — I’d rather flag it now than have it surface as a broken image on the site.
Want me to loop in Sage to verify the image-handling in the publish flow, or are you good to let it ride through the MWF auto-publish?
